BC、TC、CCA、CCS
Typical metal materials for wires and cables are bare copper BC, tinned copper TC, copper-clad aluminum CCA, copper-clad steel CCS, aluminum-magnesium wire AM, etc. CCA and CCS are often used in high-frequency signal cables, such as coaxial cables, and are unsuitable for power lines.
Copper-clad aluminum is a layer of copper coating or plating on the outside aluminum wire or aluminum-magnesium wire. Advantages: good electrical conductivity, lightweight, small specific gravity, low price, convenient raw material processing and production. Based on copper wire production, it is an excellent material to replace copper conductors. Disadvantages: It is easy to break during production and brittle. Tin plating will cause tin loss; the strength is low, and it is easy to oxidize when bare at room temperature. The copper-clad aluminum wire will turn black after water exposure, and oxidation will be accelerated. Copper-clad and copper-clad aluminum-magnesium wires are commonly used as core conductors, winding shields, and braided shields.
Copper-clad steel is copper-clad steel wire. It uses the skin effect of low-voltage and high-frequency signals to walk along the surface in the high-frequency area. Therefore, as long as the thickness of the copper layer reaches a specific range, signals in a particular frequency range can be guaranteed to be transmitted. Copper plays a role in conducting weak electrical signals, while steel wire plays a supporting role.
Copper-clad aluminum, copper-clad aluminum-magnesium, and copper-clad steel appear as copper wires. It is easy to confuse the two without expertise.
The main element of aluminum-magnesium wire is aluminum, and a small amount of magnesium or other metal materials is added to enhance its hardness. Mainly used as shielding braiding material. (Note: The specific gravity of oxygen-free copper is 8.9, while the particular gravity of aluminum is 2.7.)
Tinned copper wire refers to a copper wire with a thin layer of metallic tin-plated on the surface of the copper wire. Tinned copper wire is relatively soft and has good electrical conductivity. Compared with bare copper wire, it has more robust corrosion and oxidation resistance, which can significantly extend the service life of weak current cables.
ACEWO robot drag chain cables use multi-stranded ultra-fine oxygen-free bare or tinned copper as conductors. Oxygen-free copper has no hydrogen embrittlement, high conductivity, good processing performance, welding performance, corrosion resistance, and low-temperature performance. , with flexibility and resistance to bending, and is suitable for use in reciprocating motion situations of drag chains.
