RJ45 supports 10G. For example, Ethernet Cat 6A and Cat 7 cables with RJ45 interfaces can support 10G. When using these two types of cables, you need to refer to the specific use environment. Conventional Cat 6A cables can meet most requirements if they are for home use. Shielded Cat 6A or 7 cables are recommended if used in a harsh industrial environment. Here, we mainly talk about Cat 7 cables. The maximum transmission frequency of Cat 7 cables is 600MHz, and the transmission frequency of Cat 7A cables is 1000MHz. The Cat 7 system provides a comprehensive attenuation to crosstalk ratio of at least 500MHZ and an overall bandwidth of 600MHZ, and the transmission rate can reach 10Gbps.
Cat 7 network cables usually use high-purity, oxygen-free copper as the transmission conductor. The inner core is thicker than Gigabit/100M network cables. When transmitting high-frequency signals, the signal attenuation is small, and the transmission is more stable. In terms of shielding structure, as a shielded twisted pair cable, each pair of wires has an aluminum foil shielding layer, and there is a common metal braided shielding layer outside the 8 cores, which can effectively shield the external electromagnetic signal interference and reduce the mutual interference between cables.
It is particularly important to note that if it is a Category 7 network cable, the RJ45 interface will generally have a metal shielding design to realize the shielding properties of the cable better.
