Current Status of Custom Industrial Cables

Nowadays, technology is changing rapidly, and the pace of industrial automation is constantly advancing. More and more companies are adopting machine vision, and the application fields are becoming wider and wider. Many people are not familiar with industrial cameras, let alone industrial cables for cameras. They think it is OK to connect the wires and use them, but they cannot use them at all.

Industrial cameras generally have screw-type industrial ethernet cable and Hirose 6-core trigger cables. As a manufacturer of industrial camera cables, the cable industry is made of high-flex cables with PVC or PUR outer layers and twisted cores. However, with the continuous expansion of the market, the competitiveness of low-end products, such as industrial cable assemblies, is getting smaller and smaller.

For example, a 5-meter cat6 ethernet cable with screws imported from Germany is usually a drag chain cable, and the market price is generally around $57; it is sold to a distributor for around $15, but some customers still think cat6a ethernet cable is too expensive. However, this drag chain cable's materials and wire cores are all imported from Japan, and the difference is very small compared to those imported from Germany. However, the current market cannot accept it and would rather choose to buy imported cables.
